All of our wedding events will be on the eastern side of Sicily, an hour south of Taormina. Here is an overview of the coastal cities:

Airport Info:
The local airport is Catania International Airport (CTA).
The airport is relatively small with two terminals, but we recommend getting to the airport with ample time to spare to account for the crowds.
Starting this May, there are daily direct flights from JFK to CTA via Delta.
Catania International Airport → Marriott Hotel is a 35 minute drive.
Visa info / passport requirements see here. To be extra safe, make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months of traveling.

Rental Cars:
Rental cars can be sourced from the airport. We recommend renting a car if you want flexibility to explore nearby towns.
To drive in Sicily, you need an international drivers license. You can get this at your local AAA (super easy!) Info here.
Evan and I rented a Fiat for our scout trip through Enterprise via Chase Travel. It was seamless.
Before exiting the airport, head to the rental car kiosk behind baggage claim to sign the paperwork. You will bring this to the rental car lot that’s a 3 min walk from the terminal exit.
In Sicily, people drive on the right side of the road, and the steering wheel is on the left side of the car. Same same.
Specify if you want automatic or manual. Most of the affordable options are manual.
